Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Conect mobile app and related services ("Conect", "we", "us"), operated by GiGx Prime Consult (Ghana). By creating an account or using Conect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Conect.

1. Who can use Conect

• Attendees — anyone may discover events, buy tickets, and use the attendee-networking ("Connect") feature.
• Creators — event organizers must be 18 or older and complete government-ID verification before creating events or receiving payouts.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

2. Tickets and payments

• Ticket prices are set by event creators. Applicable service and processing fees are shown before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Paystack. By purchasing, you authorize the charge to your selected payment method.
• A ticket is a limited licence to attend the event named on it, subject to the creator's rules and any age restrictions.
• Conect facilitates the transaction between you and the creator; the creator is responsible for delivering the event.

3. Refunds and cancellations

• Refunds are governed by the refund policy set by each event creator, shown on the event before purchase, and by any enforced refund window.
• If an event is cancelled by the creator, you may be entitled to a refund in line with that policy.
• Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Paystack. Processing times depend on your bank or mobile-money provider.

4. Creator obligations

• Creators must own or have the right to host the events they list and must describe them accurately.
• Creators are responsible for admitting valid ticket-holders, honouring their stated refund policy, and complying with applicable laws, taxes, and venue rules.
• Payouts are made to the verified bank details on file, subject to fraud checks and any holds required to resolve disputes or chargebacks.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Conect for fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity.
• List fake, misleading, or infringing events, or resell tickets in violation of a creator's rules.
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users, including through the Connect networking feature.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. The Connect (networking) feature

When you opt in, other attendees at the same event may see your profile and message you. Be respectful and share only information you are comfortable making visible. You can opt out of the attendee directory at any time.

7. User content

You retain ownership of content you post (profile, events, reviews, messages). You grant Conect a licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for content you post and must have the rights to it.

8. Disclaimers

Conect is provided "as is". We do not host the events and are not responsible for a creator's conduct or an event's quality, safety, or cancellation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated here.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conect and GiGx Prime Consult will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid through Conect for the transaction giving rise to the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new "Last updated" date here and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Ghana, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
